About Conditions Today

One clear answer to one everyday question, for your location.

What this is

Conditions Today is a small family of single-purpose sites. Each one answers exactly one everyday question for a specific place — is tonight good for stargazing, will the aurora be visible, is today a likely migraine-pressure day, what is my area’s radon zone, when is my average last frost — and nothing else. The goal is to give you the answer above the fold, in plain language, in a couple of seconds.

How we think about accuracy

Every verdict is built from real data from official sources — NOAA, the EPA, NASA’s space-weather center, the US Census, and established weather and environmental APIs (see our methodology). When a data source is genuinely unavailable for your location, we say so plainly rather than guessing. We would rather show “data unavailable” than a confident answer that turns out to be wrong.

Who makes it

Conditions Today is built and maintained by KeVon Ticer, an independent developer. It is not affiliated with NOAA, the EPA, NASA, or any government agency — we present their public data with attribution. If something looks wrong, telling us helps everyone; see contact below.

How it’s funded

The sites are free to use. They may carry relevant, clearly-labeled advertising or product recommendations to cover hosting and data costs. Recommendations never change the underlying verdict — the data drives the answer, not a sponsor.

A note on health topics

Some sites touch health-adjacent subjects (barometric pressure and migraines, radon risk). These display weather and environmental data for general information only and are not medical advice. For anything affecting your health, consult a qualified professional.
